Mr. Robert Bradbury devotes a great deal of thought to the possibilities of super-smart intelligences at the limits imposed by the laws of physics and engineering constraints. He has presented his ideas on his extensive website, at Bioastronomy '99, and at the Blois 2000 "Frontiers of Life" conferences. Robert began his working life with 15 years in the computer industry, followed by 10 years in biotechnology R&D. His primary interest is the feasibility of sentient individuals (of any life form) evolving to become immortal through applications of biotechnology and nanotechnology. These ideas have deep implications for SETI and for humanity's future.
